I used to a like a bit of breakdancing in the 1980s, watching rather than participating [I went down the graffiti avenue of hip hop culture instead]. Back then it was teenagers with some lino in the local shopping centre who knew their uprock from their downrock and body popping, copying what they’d seen in music videos and films like Breakin’ or Flashdance. Now it’s an Olympic sport. Do you really think that Breaking is a sport?
