Bboy Menno  Biography, Life Story and Facts:

Bboy Menno was born in the city of Tilburg, Netherlands and now currently lives in Rotterdam, Netherlands. Bboy Menno was a kid when his doctor advised his mother to put him on Judo to balance his body because of his clumsiness. He started b-boying in 2001 at the age of 12 after watching a music video “It’s Like That” by Run DMc and by his two older cousins who were Bboying at that time. He was also inspired by bboys like Lego, Maurizio, Skill Methodz, and Havikoro.

He is recognized as sergeant for Hustle Kidz. Bboy Menno is recognized as a painter as well and has a keen interest in graphic designing. As an artist, he is also called Mennopoly. He has his own clothing company ‘Menno Tracksuits’ and is known for wearing new tracksuits in his performances. He usually posts his daughter Cali’s pictures on his instagram page.

He is among the list of Most Popular Dancer. He is a three time winner for the Red Bull BC One World Finals. He received a Swan award nomination for his one-man theater show ‘Rise Up’ in 2015 and he also appeared in the Dutch show ‘Rise Up’.

He is known for his original styles on the scene of breaking and has come up with a fluid transition style in breaking where he easily moves from one move to another seamlessly. He owns a breaking facility called ‘OTB Movement’ in Rotterdam. In an interview with (LondonReal) he claimed to have had a dream to win Red Bull BC One. He believes his willpower is better than his stamina and talent and his willpower and creativity are the strongest qualities that he has. Bboy Menno is currently ranked 5th on the list of Qualifiers for the Olympics 2024 with 2080 points.

Battle Preparation:

Bboy Menno has two approaches to prepare for a battle i.e creating movement and battle preparation training. He records himself practicing whenever he finds new movements to review it for external memory to memorize the movement in his mind before any battle.

He writes everything down chapter by chapter i.e one move for one chapter and practices the moves one by one through his sheets of chapters for his muscle memory. He practices with the same intensity as he does in the competitions.

He takes a break for 30-40 seconds after every round of battle and watches his practice videos a lot before any battle. He works hard on his cardio, skip rope, floor sprints, and breathing techniques along with practicing two times a day. He tends to make eye contact with his opponent to get them intimidated.
