Bgirl Frieda Frost Biography, Life Story, Breaking Journey, and Facts:

Bgirl Frieda Frost is a versatile dancer, choreographer, cultural manager, and hip-hop scholar based in Germany and Morocco. She serves as an assistant researcher at the Cologne HipHop Institute at the University of Cologne and works as a freelance lecturer at universities. Additionally, she is a dancer and dance teacher involved in various theatre projects. 

As a choreographer, she collaborates with her German-Moroccan dance company “Cie Chara” and her German collective “nutrospektif.” She is also a PhD student at the Institute of Dance and Movement Culture at the German Sport University Cologne, where she is finalizing her dissertation on the dance culture of breaking.

She discovered hip-hop culture in the early 2000s and began breaking in 2002. She is collaborating with groups such as Pottporus e.V./Renegade, Schauspielhaus Köln, and Oper Köln. She was a Factory Artist at tanzhaus nrw from 2020 to 2022.

Moreover, she has taught classes and workshops in both informal and formal settings, including youth clubs, schools, dance schools, and universities. She earned the Digital Teaching Award for her class “Breaking for School” at the German Sport University Cologne. Additionally, she is frequently invited as a keynote speaker, lecturer, and scientific committee member for academic conferences. From 2020 to 2023, she worked as a cultural manager for the Goethe-Institut Marokko in Rabat, Morocco.

She has had a successful competition career, participating in and winning numerous national and international breaking events, including BOTY Bgirl Battle, Eurobattle, and securing titles such as vice-champion of Germany in 2019 and Morocco in 2022. Her achievements have led her to become a certified judge for international breaking competitions. 

Today, she judges both national and international dance events and is a certified WDSF judge. Notably, she judged the WDSF Breaking for Gold Oceania Continental Qualifier 2023 in Sydney and the Olympic Qualifier Series in Shanghai, which are qualification events for b-girls and b-boys for the 2024 Olympic Games in Paris.
