Bgirl Syssy was born and raised in Saint Etienne, France. She comes from a family of professional artists associated with the African dance group Doni Doni. Her brother, Damani Dembélé, also shares her passion for breakdance. At a remarkably young age of 9, Syssy started showcasing her dancing talents internationally as a member of the group Melting Force.
In early 2022, Bgirl Syssy participated in her first international competition sanctioned by the World Federation of Dance Sport. Due to her age, she was previously ineligible to take part. Nonetheless, she impressively finished 27th overall and secured the 3rd position among French participants at the 2022 European Breakdance Championships.
Her achievements continued to soar as she gained a spot in the prestigious Red Bull BC One competition in New York in November 2022, a highly renowned international event outside the federation circuit. In December 2022, Bgirl Syssy represented France at the esteemed Battle of the Year held in Okinawa. This competition holds significant global recognition within the breakdance community.
Notably, on May 7, 2023, at the age of 16, Bgirl Syssy accomplished a remarkable feat by winning the bronze medal at the 2023 European Breakdance Championships in Almería. This victory not only added to her list of accomplishments but also qualified her for the 2023 European Games, a crucial event that serves as a qualifier for the 2024 Olympics in Paris.
She is enrolled in the sports studies break dance at the Tezena du Montcel high school in Saint Etienne. She does two to three hours of training. She is currently preparing to perform at the Paris Olympics 2024 and currently ranks at 11th with 1600 points.
