Bgirl Tiff was born and raised in Toronto, Ontario, Canada. Bgirl Tiff’s journey in breaking began during her first week at Queen’s University as an undergraduate, even though competitive gymnastics and dance had been a part of her life since childhood. It all started after she attended an Urban Hip Hop class and spotted a B-girl practicing footwork on campus. Inspired and eager, she wasted no time and joined a breaking club at the university, where she quickly became passionate and dedicated, practicing every day.

Having already possessed skills like tumbling and flips from her gymnastics background, Bgirl Tiff aimed to develop an artistic style that blended power moves with dynamic flow and footwork. She wanted her breaking to resemble a roller coaster, taking her through various levels and sensations, which she found thrilling and exhilarating.

Over the next two years, Bgirl Tiff divided her time between Kingston during the school year and Toronto during the summer, training with different crews, such as Ground Illusionz and Unknown Floorforce Crew. B-boy Frost, one of her early mentors and a member of Ground Illusionz, played a crucial role in supporting and guiding her throughout her breaking journey. (redbull)

Upon returning to Toronto after those two years, she teamed up with B-girls Konatsu and Caerina, who were once considered her biggest local rivals. Together, they formed Kobe Pong, a powerful crew that dominated break battles. Eventually, they renamed themselves Kuru Crew, continuing their reign in the Canadian B-girl scene.

In 2020, Bgirl Tiff faced a setback due to a concussion, which led to a two-year break from breaking. However, during her recovery, she witnessed her crewmate Konatsu compete in the Red Bull BC One E-Battle and was inspired to make her own comeback. In 2021, fueled by the possibility of challenging some of the world’s top B-girls, she took the plunge and entered the competition herself.

In preparation for competitions, Bgirl Tiff typically ensures a clear schedule, leaving no pending tasks to create a relaxed and composed mindset. Throughout the competition, observers will notice them engaging in some party rocking in a corner, maintaining a high level of positive energy and allowing their body to feel relaxed and uninhibited. Some of her favorite songs are “Throw your Hands Up” by L.V, “The love” by Jadu Heart, “Follow the Sunshine” by Sabrina Starke, “Ain’t no thang” by Outkast. She is currently preparing to perform at the Paris Olympics 2024 and currently ranks at 16th spot with 1280 points.
