Bboy Daniel Biography, Life Story, Breaking Journey, and Facts:

He was born on an Island Sotra in Bergen and currently lives in Oslo, Norway. Bboy Daniel used to love Kung Fu movies when he was a kid and he was diagnosed with ADHD early on. Bboy Daniel was a troublesome kid in school and once threw a rock at a staff member (Source: magasin.kulturtanken). Bboy Daniel first moved to what he refers to as “an alternative school for those who don’t fit into the regular school”. He was later on moved to an “alternative-alternative” school, that is to say – the school creates a separate department for him and three others due to fighting and bullying.

Bboy Daniel tried to study by splitting the schedule i.e ten minutes of memorizing on the way to training, ten minutes before dinner, ten minutes before bed and so on. He started to keep up more in class and was no longer the worst in all subjects. He discovered breaking at the age of 11 when he saw a talent show at school which sparked his interest in breaking. He describes his first thought of breaking as opening the door to Narnia. He took part in every sport in school from Chess, Archery to football but none of that enthused him. He graduated from high school as the best student. He got into performing arts in 2010. He is preparing to participate in the Olympic Games 2024 and has been ranked 19th on the Olympic qualifier list with 1170 points.

Workout Regime:

– He goes to practice 3 days a week where he practices one move and does it over and over again simultaneously filming himself to see how it looks to make it better. (Stance)
– He runs 6000 meters one day a week.
– He does five different exercises similar to breaking.
– He does workout 5 times with 2 minutes of break in each turn.
– He also does strength training for adductors and he excludes the windmill and breaking training when he does the strength training for adductors which happens once in a week.
– Bboy Daniel has a basic six step routine for the abs. One of them is a box jump.

Training Sessions:

– His training sessions differ from day to day.
– One day is for footwork, another day is for tricks, and the third day would be for everything combined and just dancing.
– Bboy Daniel says that he usually has a reasonable plan, but sometimes inspiration can get the better of him where he ends up dancing in a flow zone and new movements and details emerge by themselves.
– Bboy Daniel has a training program with Olympiatoppen.
– There he receives assistance with motor skills so that he can improve tricks and movements by analyzing what kind of motor skills need to be worked on for a better performance.
– He also gets injury prevention exercises and strength training to prepare the body for the stress it receives from the breaking.
