Bgirl Maia was born and raised in Brasilia, Brazil. She began their dance journey in 2010, in Brasília, the capital of Brazil. Before taking up dancing herself, she had some friends who were already into it. However, the true inspiration and motivation came when she witnessed a couple of highly skilled b-girls battling it out at an event in her neighborhood. The display of talent and passion in that moment sparked a fire within her, propelling her to start dancing and embark on her own path in the world of dance. In the beginning, B-Boy Katatal helped her and provided mentorship.
In addition to being a talented B-Girl, she is also a skilled clown, carrying on the legacy of her circus master parent. For more than two decades, she have dedicated herself to creating and performing circus and popular culture acts. Bgirl Maia’s diverse artistic pursuits in both dance and circus arts showcase her creativity and passion for entertaining audiences through various forms of expression.
She is currently in a relationship with B-Boy Allef and they both train together in a training space in front of her house everyday. Moreover, she also does strength training four times a week. Bgirl Maia is also prepping to appear in the Paris Olympics 2024 and currently ranks at 179th spot with 100 points.
