Bgirl Madmax was born and grew up in Bruges but currently lives in Brussels, Belgium. At the age of 14, while engaged in skateboarding, she attended an event in Bruges with a friend. It was there that her friend introduced her to another individual who was involved in breakdancing, leaving a lasting impression on her.

Coincidentally, she later transferred to a different school and encountered a breakdancer in the dining hall. They struck up a conversation, and this new acquaintance invited her to train with his crew at Bruges station. The crew members were also associated with a dance school, where she decided to enroll for a year. This allowed her to meet and train with various other individuals who shared her passion for breakdancing.

Bgirl Madmax recognizes the importance of both mental and physical preparedness in her breakdancing performances. While improvisation plays a significant role, she emphasizes the need for mental readiness. This involves planning how she will present herself to the jury and executing her tricks in a captivating and aesthetically pleasing manner.

Physical training is also a crucial aspect of her routine. Bgirl Madmax adheres to the mantra of “Train like an athlete, dance like an artist.” Devoting three to five hours each day, she engages in a variety of exercises. In addition to practicing tricks and dance moves, she focuses on strengthening her physique to prevent injuries. Activities such as running and jumping rope contribute to approximately 20 to 30% of her overall training. Recognizing the demands placed on her hands, feet, and muscles, she considers physical conditioning an essential component of her practice. While acknowledging that every dancer has their own approach, she personally deems it important to prioritize physical training.

Bgirl Madmax is currently preparing to participate in the Paris Olympics 2024. Madmax is currently ranked at 17th spot with 1240 points.
