Bboy Dosu Biography, Life Story, Breaking Journey, and Facts:

Dosu has emerged from challenging beginnings in a poor and dangerous part of Lima, the capital of Peru. His breaking journey began when he witnessed a group of boys performing impressive moves, sparking a desire to learn and master the art form. Despite facing initial opposition from his family, who viewed breaking as a waste of time, his determination led him to pursue his passion.

Around the age of seven or eight, Bboy Dosu moved to the north of Lima with his family, driven by his mother’s concern about the influence of drugs on kids in their previous neighbourhood. At the age of 13, his life took a pivotal turn when a friend invited him to audition for a dance school, offering a five-year scholarship. This opportunity exposed him to formal training in ballet, contemporary dance, hip-hop, and jazz.

His breaking style is marked by power moves, footwork, top rock, freezes, and a distinctive touch of originality. His commitment to improvement is evident through consistent training sessions, conducted in his apartment with minimal furniture to maximize floor space. Dosu dedicates several hours to training, with a focus on continuous self-improvement.

In addition to his breaking pursuits, Bboy Dosu works as a massage therapist, managing his own schedule to accommodate both his passion for breaking and his professional commitments. Having kept his sexual orientation private, he navigates the challenges associated with being gay in a cultural context where stereotypes and stigma are prevalent. As part of the Paris Olympic Qualifiers 2024, Dosu holds a ranking of 201st with 193 breaking points.
