Bboy Broly, also known as Mariano Angel Carvajal Matus, hails from Fernandez Oro, Rio Negro, Argentina. He chose this name since he was a child for battles, as a result of his fanaticism for the character from the Dragon Ball Z series.
As he admits, he has been dancing for as long as he can remember, and although he always took it as a hobby, in 2004, what he liked most about breaking was turning, power moves, and being able to make transitions and variations, from the elbow to turning upside down. Carvajal works to be able to finance his sports career and cope with the country’s economic crisis like most amateur Argentine athletes. He is also part of the Paris Olympic Qualifiers 2024, with a 110th ranking and 330 breaking points.
