Bboy Toufeeq Biography, Life Story, Breaking Journey, and Facts:

Bboy Toufeeq, from Mitchell’s Plain, represents the Tough Nation Crew. In 2015, he made history by becoming the youngest bboy to win the Red Bull BC One South Africa Cypher in Cape Town.

His introduction to breaking happened while walking home from school, what he initially mistook for a fight turned out to be a breaking lesson conducted by Bboy Angelo. This moment sparked his passion for breaking. He began taking lessons with Bboy Angelo in 2008 at the East Ridge Community Centre and continued there until 2015. Later, they moved their practice to the skatepark at West Ridge Gardens, chosen for its smooth surface and its potential to inspire local youth.

His rigorous training schedule at the skatepark included three hours of practice from Monday to Friday and additional cardio on weekends, culminating in his victory at the 2015 Red Bull BC One South Africa competition. At home, he keeps his training straightforward, practising in his driveway on boards.

Breaking runs deep in his family; his father, also a breaker, introduced him to the backflip and remains his mentor and motivator. With breaking now recognized as an Olympic sport, he has adapted his training regimen to that of a professional athlete. He has a rank of 14 with 250 points at the P2024 Paris Olympic Qualifiers list.
