Bgirl Monchi Biography, Life Story, Breaking Journey, and Facts:

Bgirl Monchi, aka Lourdes Palomino Huachuhuillca, was born in Huancavelica but grew up in El Agustino district. From an extremely young age, she needed to manage a mind-boggling reality: financial shakiness, a heavy drinker and far-off father, and the suicide of her younger brother. With a bit of courage, she defeated each of these cruel difficulties and continued steadfastly with her life, accompanied by her mother and sister. 

Hip-hop culture came into her life through her sister Roxy. One evening, she got to the El Agustino Region school, where her sister was practicing volleyball. A couple of meters from the court, she watched with interest a few youngsters who were performing somersaults and moving while at the same time executing extremely challenging movements. Around then, the school was controlled by Teacher Jack Nizama, a notable social disseminator of urban art in El Agustino. She didn’t feel hesitation, and, through her sister Roxy, she requested that Jack acknowledge her as her student. 

In this way, in the summer of 2013, when she was in her fifth year of secondary school, her way as a breaking artist bloomed. From the beginning, even her family was against her practicing this dance since they connected it with being moved by lazy people or drug addicts, or they thought it was a waste of time. But she carried on her struggle, and now she is one of the best breakers in Peru. Her stage name was taken from the personality of Pataclaun, played by Montserrat María Brugué. She is at 94th rank with 350 breaking points in the 2024 Paris Olympics Qualifications List.
