Bgirl Nanaka Biography, Life Story, Breaking Journey, and Facts:

Bgirl Nanaka hails from Toyonaka, Japan. Her breaking journey began with a heartfelt reason, that is her sister. Her sister dreamt of being a dancer, but due to an accident, she couldn’t dance anymore. She couldn’t even speak and had to use a wheelchair. She, then just a 5th-grade student, decided to take up dancing to fulfil her sister’s dreams. At first, her sister wasn’t thrilled because she wanted Nanaka to follow her own interests.

But as time passed, Nanaka realized that breaking was what she truly wanted in her life. Now, her sister not only supports her but also cheers for her during performances. She is also suffering from scoliosis, a disorder affecting her lower back. However, she doesn’t feel negative or guilty about it even though, there are some moves she can’t pull off due to her condition, like those big power moves or head spins.

She excels in spinning with one hand and rocking some impressive freezes, especially from the bridge position. Interestingly, before every battle, she tunes in to J-Pop music to get herself pumped up. She is currently in 237th place with 50 breaking points in the 2024 Paris Olympics Qualifications List.
