Bgirl Sunny Biography, Life Story, Breaking Journey, and Facts:

Bgirl Sunny was born in Cookville, Tennessee but currently lives in Queens, New York City. Her parents are immigrants from South Korea. She has three brothers and four nieces. She did her high schooling from DuPont Manual High School and graduated from University of Pennsylvania in Wharton School of Business: Marketing.

After devoting 15 years to gymnastics, her aspirations were interrupted by a knee injury, which resulted in complications following a distressing surgical procedure. Shortly before embarking on her journey to college in Philadelphia, she made the difficult decision to permanently abandon gymnastics. In the aftermath, she described feeling disoriented and uncertain about her future path.

In search of an enjoyable activity during her time at college in Philadelphia, Bgirl Sunny stumbled upon the B-Boys group on campus and received an invitation to join a popping class. Following her experience in the popping class, she decided to explore breaking and has been dedicated to practicing the dance ever since.

Bgirl Sunny found inspiration and received fundamental instruction in breaking from the talented Philly B-boys of Repstyles and Illadelph Phlave crews. These experienced dancers emphasized the significance of building a strong foundation and mastering proper technique. Drawing from their teachings, Sunny developed her own distinctive style, which she describes as traditional. However, she also strives to dance in a manner that aligns with her body’s natural movements while constantly pushing her boundaries and seeking new challenges.

In addition to her involvement in breaking, Bgirl Sunny maintains a full-time job and has a deep passion for food and cooking at home. She also finds solace in practicing yoga. She is currently preparing to appear in Paris Olympic 2024 and holds a place at 6th spot with 2010 points on the Olympic qualifier list.
