Bgirl Vanessa was born and raised in Leiria, Portugal. In her pursuit of growing as a B-Girl, continuing her dance journey in Portugal proved to be quite challenging. Thus, she made the difficult decision to leave her homeland and follow her dreams in a place that could provide better opportunities. The UK became her chosen destination, where she found a sense of belonging and comfort. Over time, the people she practiced with and the years spent in the UK turned it into her second home.

Initially arriving in the UK, Bgirl Vanessa felt like an unknown entity in the breaking community, and her skills were not at their best. However, she drew inspiration from observing accomplished B-Girls such as Rawgina, Jenn, and Zana. Witnessing their performances ignited a determination within her to reach their level and challenge them in battles.

Rather than feeling scared or intimidated by her idols, Bgirl Vanessa felt inspired and motivated by them. One particular B-Girl Narumi, played a crucial role in her breaking journey, being the reason she began dancing in the first place. Thus, in battles, she viewed it as an opportunity to showcase her growth and demonstrate how much she had been inspired by Narumi. Bgirl Vanessa aimed to make Narumi proud, for the latter had ignited a fire within her, a sentiment shared by many other B-Girls who felt similarly inspired. She is currently preparing to perform at the Paris Olympics 2024 and currently ranks at 12 with 1550 points.
