The Quest Crew is a 13-member breaking group from California, USA, which was founded in 2006. The Quest Crew became the winner of America’s Best Dance crew in 2009.

Quest Crew is a group of people who do cool dances to hip-hop music in America. They’re from Los Angeles, California. They won a big dance competition called America’s Best Dance Crew on TV. Before that, each of them danced alone on other shows like So You Think You Can Dance. They also helped make dance moves for the famous duo LMFAO and even went on tour with them. In 2015, they won another season of America’s Best Dance Crew and got a prize of $100,000 and a trophy. This was the second time they became champions on the show.

The group’s name “Quest Crew” comes from the Quest Learning Center in California, which has helped them improve as a team and as individuals. They became winners of America’s Best Dance Crew in the third season.  Quest Crew appeared in a music video by Far East Movement called “Dance Like Michael Jackson” and in several videos by LMFAO like “Party Rock Anthem,” “Champagne Showers,” “Sexy And I Know It,” and “Sorry for Party Rocking.” They also danced on a show called Idol Gives Back in 2008.

1. Hokuto Konishi

Hokuto Konishi Facts

Hokuto Konishi AKA Hok was born in Tokyo and has Japanese heritage, but he grew up in Oxford, England. He studied graphic design at Santa Monica College and learned to dance when he was 15 years old. He trained in hip-hop and locking for two years. He’s part of a hip-hop dance group Quest Crew and was a finalist on a TV show called So You Think You Can Dance. Hok is also a judge on a talent competition called The World’s Best, where he represents Japan.

2. Steve Terada

Steve Terada Facts

Steve Teradea was 5 years old when he started his first karate class. He didn’t like it at first, so he quit. But when he was 9 years old, he decided he wanted to kick like the Turtles from the TV show. So, he started karate again at a place called Tom Bloom Karate in California. He worked really hard at training, almost all the time except when he needed to eat and sleep. After practicing for more than 9 years and going through a back injury from winter sports, he earned his black belt in Tang Soo Do in 1997 and his 2nd-degree black belt in 1999. He is one of the co-founders of Quest Crew.

3. Ryan Conferido

Ryun Conferido Facts

Ryan Conferido AKA Ryanimay started his dancing journey as a dancer, he did breaking  moves, and he competed with a group called Sickstep Crew. He helped create Quest Crew and took part in shows like So You Think You Can Dance and America’s Best Dance Crew Season 3 and 8, and he won both times. After that, he went on tours with LMFAO, Kesha, and Redfoo. In 2016, he got an Emmy Award for his awesome dance choreography. He also opened a studio in Downtown Los Angeles called “The Billy Studio,” where he focuses on creating content for influencers. Right now, he’s the host of a competition on Twitch called “Type Beat Battle,” which is all about music and beats.

4. Bboy D-Trix

Bboy D-Trix Facts

Bboy D-Trix started breaking at the age of 13 and also performed for the NBA and WNBA games. He is a famous American dancer and a popular person on YouTube. He got famous by being on a TV show where people show off their dancing skills called ‘So You Think You Can Dance.’ He won another dance show called ‘America’s Best Dance Crew’ and even became a judge on that show. He also made his own online dance competition called ‘Dance Showdown.’ D-Trix’s favorite kind of dancing is break-dancing, but he likes learning new kinds of dances too. He’s an important part of Quest Crew.

5. Ryan Feng

Ryan Feng Facts

Ryan Feng was born in Taiwan and has a bachelor’s degree in studio art and visual communication from UCLA, Irvine. Ryan Feng is a dancer, choreographer, and actor. He’s famous for being the creative director, choreographer, and dancer for the band LMFAO. He’s also known for being a male dancer in the Quest Crew. He took part in a show called “America’s Best Dance Crew” and his team won the championship in the third season.

6. Brian Hirano

Brian Hirano Facts

Brian Hirano is a dancer and DJ. He is most famous for being one of the people who started the hip-hop dance group Quest Crew. When he was young, he played many sports but when he was sixteen, he got really into breakdancing because of music videos and capoeira. He and Quest Crew also had a small part in a movie called Honey 2. He was born in a place called the Bay Area in California. His family background is a mix of American, Portuguese, Korean, Japanese, Filipino, and Chinese.

Ru Facts

Rudy Reynon AKA Ru is a dancer and choreographer who is famous around the world. He began learning martial arts when he was only four years old and became a second-degree black belt by the time he was 8. He started dancing when he was 12. He created his own special way of dancing called “Ru style.” He is a key part of dance group Quest Crew. He got to work with big music artists like LMFAO, Justin Bieber, and Chris Brown. He also did dance stuff for big companies like Xfinity, Nike, and Red Bull.

Bboy Mark Villaver was born in Hawaii and is of Filipino descent. He began his journey as a breakdancer and then got interested in other dance styles because of local dancers who inspired him. In 2012, he went to Los Angeles to make dancing his job. He started by performing at the season 11 finale of American Idol and later worked on The X-Factor for a whole season. He was asked to join Quest Crew and became their newest member.

11. Bboy Subin Choi

Bboy Subin Choi Facts

Bboy Choi Subin was raised in Hawaii. He discovered breaking at the age of 11 when he saw some bboys breaking on the ice rink he was skating on and got totally mesmerized by it. He mastered the windmill after three months of practicing. He got to know about Quest Crew when they performed at the 50th State Fair in Hawaii and because he could not afford the ticket, he and his friends hopped the fence to watch their performance. He became highly impressed by them and surprisingly found out that Bboy D-Trix was a student at his school as well and became friends with him. Later on, he became a member of Quest Crew at the age of 22.

17. Bboy Spinboy

Bboy Spinboy Facts

Bboy Spinboy is a remarkable member of the Muscle Musical community and a former member of Quest Crew. He holds an impressive record for head-spinning. He’s participated in four Shin-SASUKE tournaments, showcasing his dedication to challenging obstacles. In his initial two attempts, he faced the Jumping Spider obstacle and, unfortunately, couldn’t overcome it. He faced the Jumping Spider once more in SASUKE 24, experiencing another challenge on this obstacle. Beyond his SASUKE journey, Bboy Spinboy has demonstrated incredible skill by achieving an impressive record of spinning 135 turns in just 60 seconds.

19. Bboy Beyond

Bboy Beyond Facts

He is known for his appearance on Dansefeber, the Norwegian version of So You Think You Can Dance, back in 2006. He also gained recognition as a member of the Quest crew.
