Bgirl Yell is a Seoul native, born and raised in South Korea, where she currently resides. Proudly representing the Gamblerz crew, she embarked on her breaking journey at the age of 16, inspired by the dynamic style and remarkable skills of this dance form. When Bgirl Yell first started breaking, her parents were initially apprehensive about her chosen path. Especially her mother, who worked as a school teacher, had reservations about her pursuing dance. She hoped that Yell would pursue a career similar to her own and discouraged her from becoming a dancer.

As a result of her mother’s concerns, Bgirl Yell wasn’t allowed to attend a formal breaking academy. Despite the restrictions, her passion for breaking persisted. Undeterred, she dedicated herself to daily practice, using the playground in front of her house as her training ground throughout the age of 15. Her persistence and unwavering love for dance eventually made a significant impact on her mother. Witnessing her dedication and enthusiasm, her mother had a change of heart. At the age of 17, Bgirl Yell’s mother finally relented and allowed her to study breaking in a proper studio class, providing her with the opportunity to learn the dance form formally. This turning point in her journey allowed Bgirl Yell to embrace her passion fully and receive proper training, setting her on the path to success in breaking. Despite the initial resistance, Yell’s determination and love for the art ultimately won over her parents’ support.

Beyond her passion for breaking, Bgirl Yell also values spending quality time with her loved ones. While being a B-Girl will always be an integral part of her identity, she refuses to limit herself solely to this dance form. Embracing a philosophy of being ‘limitless,’ Yell remains determined to continue dancing and pursuing all her aspirations and goals.

As a dancer with a bright future ahead, Bgirl Yell’s dedication, unique style, and unyielding spirit make her an inspiring figure in the breaking community and beyond. She is currently preparing for Paris Olympics 2024 and ranks at 35th spot with 800 points.
