Bboy Bad Matty is a Milan, Italy native who discovered his love for breaking in 2010 when his friend showcased different moves. He began his journey with a suggestion from his schoolmate, Andrea, who had a background in boogie-woogie dance, and whose parents owned a dance gym. Subsequently, he participated in a breakdancing test at this dance gym and was captivated by the art form, leading him to fall in love with breaking.
Following this newfound passion, he left Milan and joined a gym course to further explore and develop his skills in breaking. Alongside his dedication to breaking, he is a student of physical education at San Raffaele Telematic University. His routine involves teaching students in the afternoon and engaging in three hours of training from Monday to Friday. On weekends, when not competing, he enjoys spending time with friends.
In terms of dance style, Bboy Bad Matty incorporates power moves, footwork, freezes, and top rock into his performances. His dedication and aggressive approach to breaking earned him the name “Bad Matty,” suggested by his father after witnessing his son’s competitive spirit.
