Bboy Bumblebee Biography, Life Story, Breaking Journey, and Facts:
Bboy Bumblebee, a native of Voronezh in Russia, began breaking at the age of nine. He was inspired to take up the sport by his father, who was one of the pioneers of Breaking in the city. His father gave Bumblebee his B-Boy moniker as well. After watching the Transformers movie, he first wanted to be called Optimus Prime, but his father objected, saying that he was too young for such name and that Bumblebee was more appropriate.
The father of Bumblebee, also named Sergei Chernyshev, was one of Voronezh’s pioneering Breakers in the 1990s. Bumblebee began gymnastics at the age of four. When Bumblebee was nine years old, his parents started the dance studio “Infinity” in Voronezh. That same year, he began Breaking. Bumblebee continues training there under the direction of his father. Bumblebee is currently a student at Voronezh State Technical University in the faculty of construction and has two younger sisters.
