Bboy LILOU Biography, Life Story and Facts:

Bboy Lilou was born in France as Ali Ramdan and also goes by the name Alilou. He belongs to Algerian and Muslim descent. He was into graffiti before he came to know about the B-boying on TV at the age of six. His brother taught him to do moonwalk and he started developing his breaking skills in 1997 with his friends. Bboy Lilou founded the Pokemon Crew in 1999. He has also been a black belt in Kung Fu since the age of sixteen and he believed that Kung Fu helped him a lot with breaking.

Bboy Lilou appeared in Midnight Madness video by Chemical Brother’s in 2010, British movie StreetDance 2, was a backup dancer for Madonna in the MDNA tour, and has his own character for a video game named BREAK THE GAME. He is influenced by Michael Jackson, Muhammad Ali, Jamirquai, and Zinédine Zidane.

Bboy Lilou conducts several workshops for breaking. He has an association called ‘Street Off’ to bring the b-boying kids to international events. Lilou’s favorite stage is Paris’s Stade de France with Madonna. He has a love for football and his favorite places are Brazil and Africa. He can speak English, Algerian, French, and Arabic.

Bboy Lilou and the RED BULL BC One have a long history together. He was the underdog but won the tournament in 2005 in Berlin, his first year of competition. He was given a huge winner’s belt that was meant to serve as a challenge trophy for the following year’s champion, however, Lilou refused to return it, unconcerned that doing so might result in him being banned from future championships. He made a comeback in 2006 but was defeated quite early on. He was one of four wild card B-Boys chosen to compete in Johannesburg, South Africa, in 2007 where Roxrite from the US defeated him in the semi-finals.

Among the various things Lilou wears to fight for his individuality, he occasionally dons a ‘I’m Muslim Don’t Panic’ t-shirt or a keffiyeh to show support for his muslim brothers and sisters who are going through a lot of hardship. Although he is aware that there are many conflicts fought around the world for land or resources, his conflicts take place on the dance floor.

Bboy Lilou served as one of the judges at the RED BULL BC ONE in 2008 in France. When the tournament was held in New York in 2009, Lilou went back into the fight and accomplished something no one had ever done before, that is he won the title a second time.

Signature Move:

Bboy Lilou is known for his threads and air chair variations. He has a signature move which is named ‘Lilousion’. He spins his lower leg and creates an illusion of detaching his knee from his leg to perform this move.

In an interview with (redbull.com), He said that he prepares strategies in his mind for the battle and tends to hype up the crowd. He likes to tell himself to be confident and smile when on stage in order to train his mind with much confidence to win the title.
