The Massive Monkees is a 32-member breaking group from Seattle, Washington which was founded in 1996. The group won the World B-Boy Championships in 2004.

Massive Monkees is a group of energetic break dancers from Seattle, Washington. They’ve been performing together since 1999 and performed in front of more than a million people every year. They’ve even shared the stage with famous artists like Alicia Keys, Jay-Z, Nas, and more. They’re known for being really great at break dancing and have won lots of awards for their amazing dance moves. They’ve won competitions in different countries like the US, Denmark, UK, Japan, and even Korea.

The group is also involved in lots of cool projects like making documentaries, organizing events, designing t-shirts, and working with companies like Microsoft and MTV. They also teach and help young people in their community learn break dancing. The Mayor of Seattle recognized how awesome they are and declared a special day in their honor. They’ve also received awards for their contribution to the arts.

Bboy Armagedden Facts

Bboy Armagedden was a halftime performer with the well-known NBA team Seattle SuperSonics Boom Squad and an active member of Massive Monkees. He is currently involved in volunteer work, focusing on empowering and supporting young people in their community through dance. Furthermore, he has a love for travel and have lived in four different countries while visiting more than 40 others. He now calls Seattle, WA, his home, where he lives with his wife and two children. He is enthusiastic about building a strong presence in this beautiful city.

Bgirl Anna Banana Freeze started breaking in 1998 when she saw a girl dancing with some bboys who used to practice after school. She used to ignore the boys who were blocking the hallway of her school due to dancing. However, she was mermerized one day when she saw the bgirl doing the moves charismatically and found herself to be curious to try. She currently lives in Duwamish land and has been a member of Massive Monkees since 1999.

Bboy Dancin Domes is a Co-Founder and also a member of Massive Monkees. B-boys Juseboogy and Dancin Domes teamed up with b-boys Jeromeskee and Iron Mike Brysen from the BOSS/USM (Untouchable Style Monkees) crew. This collaboration marked the beginning of a legacy that carried on for the following years. Bboy Dancin Domes has played a significant role in shaping the crew’s group choreography.

6. DJ DV One

DJ DV One Facts

DJ DV One started his journey wanting to be an Emcee. When he lost his DJ partner, he decided to learn how to use the turntables and mixer on his own. This made him really skilled in two things. He practiced a lot and became really good at battling other DJs. Because of this, many people became his fans and his friends respected him. In 1997, he won the Regional ITF Battle championship. He is a member of Massive Monkees.

Flow Funk Facts

Flow Funk started breaking at the age of 11. He got connected with dancers from Massive crews at Franklin High School, and Funk was the one who brought these two groups together to form the Massive Monkees. At the beginning, Flow Funk was a B-boy, a type of dancer. But a few years later, he found a new love for Funk Styles, like popping, waving, and locking. He uses his love for dance to connect with young people. Starting from the year 2000, he has been focused on helping kids from Pre-K to high school in his community through various non-profit organizations.

10. Bboy Granite Rock

Bboy Granite Rock Facts

Bboy Granite started b-boying in 1995 and is now part of the Massive Monkees group in Seattle. He’s known for being really smooth, fast, precise, and a well-rounded b-boy. Since Massive Monkees started in 1999, Granite has been in battles and performances with them. He’s won many first-place awards in competitions with Massive Monkees, including the R16 2012 World Championship and North American Championship, Mighty 4, World of Dance, Hip Hop Session in France, Battle Runnerz in Japan, and Hot Import Nights. He even teaches dance at a gym called Seattle Executive Fitness in downtown Seattle.

12. Bboy Jeromeskee

Bboy Jeromeskee Facts

Jeromeskee began doing B-boying in 1996 and has been dancing and competing since then. He’s a member of Massive Monkees. B-Boy Jeromeskee has taken part in, judged, and even won lots of B-boy events all over the world, in places like the U.K., France, Denmark, Japan, Korea, Mexico, Taiwan, Poland, Ukraine, Costa Rica, Guatemala, Canada, and all around the U.S. He also made up dance moves and performed during Macklemore’s world tour. When he’s not coaching others, he’s traveling around the world to judge breaking battles that will decide who gets to compete in the 2024 Paris Olympics. Breaking is going to be an official sport there for the first time!

Bboy Jorawk began dancing in 1997 and became a part of the Massive Monkees Crew in 2002. He used to dance for the Seattle Sonics “Boom Squad“ team. He’s also in charge of planning dance routines for big shows around the world and has helped his crew, Massive Monkees, win many important awards. Besides dancing, he’s the boss of a group called Extraordinary Futures. This group, led by Massive Monkees, helps young people in cities feel better by using art and teaches them how to become strong leaders.

Bboy Junior Facts

Bboy Junior started breaking in 2000. His inspiration came from going to Lords Of The Floor. He and his brother Tony (Dialtone) began a dance crew called Art or Movement. Starting in 2002, he joined battles like Out For Fame Seattle, Freestyle Session, and Special Edition Bumbershoot. In 2011, Bboy Junior officially became a member of the Massive Monkees crew, which became like a second family to him. Just a year later, the Massive Monkees were the underdogs at the R16 Korea finals, but they surprised everyone by winning the R16 international championship.

Bboy Lil Lazy Facts

Bboy Lil Lazy is originally from Cambodia but was born as a refugee in Thailand. He later moved to Seattle and used to collect pieces of cardboard and put them together in 1996 to make a dance floor in his basement, where he practiced break-dancing. He used to watch a video called “Break Bests” over and over, trying to copy the moves they did. He got the name “Lil Lazy” from another Cambodian bboy named Lary. He used to be in a gang in California but changed his life by dancing. Later, he started dancing with Bboys Juse Boogy and Domes Diggler. They practiced a lot at different places, and that’s when they formed Massive Monkees Crew.

22. One Be Lo

One Be Lo Facts

One Be Lo was born as Ralond Scruggs but later converted to Islam when he went to prison at the age of 18 and named himself Nahshid Sulaiman. Apart from being a member of Massive Monkees, he also formed a hip-hop group Binary Star in 1998 with Senim Silla. They both formed Binary Star in the prison. One Be Lo has skillfully become what he calls “the MC’s MC.” Many people admire him for his clear way of rapping, exact style, and thoughtful lyrics, particularly those who are fans of alternative hip hop.

Bboy Peanut is part of the Massive Monkees crew in the United States. He not only dances but also helps kids who don’t have many opportunities. He shares his love for music and dancing with them. He’s also a skilled DJ and is well-known in Southeast Asia. He was skateboarding near the Théâtre National de Chaillot when he stumbled upon a group of French Hip-Hop dancers from O Posse who were practicing.
