Bboy Kill was born in Ulsan, South Korea. He completed his high school education at Sangjin Elementary High School. Growing up, Kill had unique circumstances as both of his parents were deaf and mute. They used to sell pastries at a popular tourist spot, providing for their family. As a result of his upbringing, Bboy Kill became fluent in sign language, allowing him to communicate with his parents effectively.
Bboy Kill identifies as an ENFP according to the Myers-Briggs Type Indicator (MBTI). He pursued a degree in Hotel and Tourism from Yangsan University. Later, he furthered his knowledge by undertaking a course in Sports Arts at Myongji University. Currently married with a daughter, Kill also has an older brother who has been a significant influence in his life.
Kill’s journey into breaking started in 2005, and by 2007, he had already begun specializing in power moves. He does daily training regimen, except on Saturdays. In 2021, Bboy Kill achieved a commendable fourth place in the Breaking K Finals, which led to his selection for the prestigious Hangzhou 2022 Asian Games. Notably, his famous Thomas Flair 10-combo gained significant popularity, prompting the start of the #killchallenge.
Apart from his performances, Bboy Kill has also become a regular contestant on the Korean TV show ‘Showdown,’ where he consistently showcases his skills and competes against other talented individuals. His journey into breaking was somewhat accidental, as he stumbled upon the movie ‘Honey’ while watching it on his brother’s computer. Witnessing B-boy Casper wearing a hat while performing a Nike freeze left a lasting impression on him.
Bboy Kill acquired his name ‘Kill’ from his teacher due to his killer power moves, a moniker that has stuck with him throughout his career. Kill is preparing to participate in the Olympic Games and currently holds the 22nd position on the Olympic qualifier list with 1010 points.

Power Moves Tips:
Stretching, bare-body core exercise, and freeze combo repetitive exercise were recommended as exercises necessary to perform power moves. Bboy Kill emphasized that freezes should be done well because they are the foundation of major power move techniques such as windmills and air tracks, and that low-flying freezes, middle freezes, and high-altitude freezes should be freely linked.
In addition, since there are movements that suit each person, you need to find a movement that suits you. He said that continuous research is more important than simply repeating many movements. He says that the thickness of the power mover’s legs is important. If the legs are thick, the upper body must be large, and if the legs are thin, less strength is required. He says he has thick legs.
