Bboy Thesis Biography, Life Story, Breaking Journey, and Facts

Bboy Thesis

Bboy Thesis was born and raised in Arizona and currently lives in San Diego, California, USA. He is Mexican and Native American and moved to Seattle when he was a year old and grew up their till the age of 7. He first saw breaking in Seattle when he was walking around the Westlake Center.

Bboy Thesis, who embarked on his B-Boying at the tender age of 8, holds a profound connection to Hip Hop. He found unwavering support from his mother and stepfather, which he recognizes as crucial to his current success. Their encouragement played a pivotal role in shaping his path. At the age of 9, his mother bestowed upon him the name “Thesis,” inspired by the notion of proving a point, even though he humorously admits to not being a fan of mathematics.

When he returned to Tucson, his family faced challenging and uncertain times. However, he found solace in his passion for dance, which seemed to course through his bones, compelling him to move forward. Fortunately, Bboy Thesis crossed paths with two individuals, Joseph and Manuel Anaya, who would become more than just close friends; they became family. Witnessing their involvement in breaking, he felt a strong desire to join them. Drawing inspiration from movies like Beat Street and Breakin 1 & 2, they attempted to replicate the moves, despite their limited knowledge of the art form.

For three years, the trio practiced in the front driveway, experimenting with moves on cardboard. Then, a fortuitous discovery changed everything. They stumbled upon an advertisement in the newspaper for breaking classes led by a man named Christopher Pinedo, known as Paranoid Android. Surprised to find others sharing their passion in the city, they attended the class, along with their friend from South Tucson, Ismael Ortiz, who had already introduced him to the windmill move.

Between the ages of 11 and 15, they absorbed a wealth of knowledge from the classes, setting the stage for his future in breaking. Over time, he became a part of four crews: Knuckleheads Cali, Massive Monkees, Fresh Descendants, and TheM Team. (steemit)

He fell into depression at one point and went down to an unhealthy path which went over for almost two years. He suffered several injuries in that time including tearing of 3 tendons in his ankle due to which he couldn’t walk for 6 months. Bboy Thesis’s friends helped him during that time and he was able to come out stronger. He rode bike everyday and lost 40 pounds in 3 months.
