Bboy Issei was born in Tokyo, Japan. His parents are divorced and his mother supported him financially. He started B-Boying at the age of 6. However, his parents wanted him to quit breaking. Issei started to win freestyle solo competitions at the age of 15 and started to share his dance videos on instagram in 2012. He is known for his hip-hop dancing techniques and has a dream of making money out of dancing. He claimed that if he was not a breaker, he would have been a rapper. He also released a music video in 2019.

Bboy Issei has availed sponsorships from New Era, Tag Heuer, and Nike. He is inspired by Bboy Taisuke and they both belong to the same area in Japan.. Issei believes that his toughest opponent is Bboy Victor, Bboy Menno, and Bboy Shigekix. He loves playing video games and his hobbies include reading, learning, internet surfing, photography, and traveling. He misses Japanese food when he is away from home.
