Bboy Matita Biography, Life Story, Breaking Journey, and Facts:

Bboy Matita, aka Matita Ignasio Martínez Hidalgo hails from Antofagasta, Chile. In his childhood, he was amazed by the world of dance, but not any kind of dance—that of the scene typical of dancers in the street.

He started his journey by watching videos on YouTube and also watching how young people dedicated whole afternoons to bringing about the best steps in this discipline. He started to watch videos when he came back to school; he was passionate about them and sometimes even didn’t do his homework (soychile).

He always wished to try it, but he didn’t take the risk. In this manner, he met with youngsters who shared his affection for urban dance, and gradually they accomplished the various steps until, over the long run, he started to go to competitions in the country. 

He is the first sports dancer to be part of Team Chile. His family is similarly cheerful. Being something energetic and more got it, they clearly put their hand on their chest; however, they actually understand what the objectives are and what he truly cares about. He is in 86th place with 400 breaking points in the 2024 Paris Olympics Qualifications List.
