Bboy SUNNI Biography, Life Story, Breaking Journey, and Facts:

Sunni was born in Penang, Malaysia but moved to the UK at the age of four. He was raised in Gloucester, UK and finished high school at the age of 16. He attended a school of circus before dropping out to focus on breaking as he had breaking as one of his after school activities. He started breaking at the age of 10 in 2006 and was taught breakdancing by a B-Girl who used to live in his area. He took part in a TV show ‘Got to Dance’ with a group of dancers called Jukebox. His first crew was Toy Soldiers and he also formed a group called Breakin Nest along with B-Boy Pocket and B-Boy Child Rock.

Bboy Sunni traveled across South East Asia in his teenage days and took training from local B-Boys in Singapore, Korea, Thailand, Indonesia, Vietnam, Cambodia, and China over a period of one year. In 2009, he joined Soul Mavericks crew and took part in major championships including UK B-Boy championships, Battle of the Year, and Notorious IBE. He competed in the Red Bull BC One World Finals in different locations including Brazil, Japan, Italy and Switzerland. Bboy Sunni battles with Hong 10 in 2011 battle of UK B-Boy Championships and he is highly inspired by Hong 10 .

Bboy Sunni gives all his credit to his mother who taught him the values that he follows now and used to do acrobatics with her. He loves to play chess and cycle and was an indoor climber as a kid. He was also called ‘Jiggy Puff’ and ‘Sababa’ which is a Hebrew word for ‘cool’. He hates going to the gym and once tore his meniscus when he was young due to breaking. He prefers London over New York. Bboy Sunni can sleep anywhere and he termed it as his useless talent. His guilty pleasure is to pretend to be a model for a photoshoot and he is also sponsored by Adidas. Sunni believes the best thing about his work is freedom that comes with it. He thinks the best infrastructure for breaking is in France, China, and Japan. Sunni is all set to take part in the 2024 Olympics with 1300 points and 17th on ranking in the Olympic Qualifier list.
