Bgirl Ayumi Biography, Life Story, Breaking Journey, and Facts:

Bgirl Ayumi was born in Kyoto, Japan and studied in Vancouver, Canada. She gained around 10kg weight in Canada and lived there for 5 years (Source: Olympics). She started breaking at the age of 21 due to her sister B-Girl Narumi who inspired her to start breaking. Bgirl Ayumi has experience of Hip-Hop dance as well and found a Japanese B-Boy in Canada who took her to a place for practicing breaking. She formed a team of breakers called Japanda (Japan + Canada). Bgirl Ayumi got help from B-Boy Katsu and B-Boy Quick to teach her the chair move. She is also called Aa-Chan by her mother.

She was very shy and introverted and had trouble speaking to people confidently. Therefore, breaking helped her overcome that obstacle. She served as a dance coach in Youth Olympics 2018 and also teaches English to kindergarten students. Bgirl Ayumi was the first B-Girl to join the 1v1 battle in Battle of the Year. She used to practice everyday at the Hachijo exit of Kyoto station and describes her breaking technique as Osouji (small details) style. Bgirl Ayumi admired Brice One from the crew Massive Monkees when she was in Canada and also admired B-Girl Jesse in Seattle. She regularly trains her inner muscles and practices not more than 3 hours a day. She will appear in the Olympic Games 2024 and currently placed at 7th with 2000 points on the Olympic Qualifier list.
