The Body Carnival is a 13-member breaking group from Kyoto, Japan which was founded in 2005. The theme of Body Carnival is for each member to pursue their own individuality.

Body Carnival Crew is based in Kyoto, Japan, and has been active in world competitions. The Body Carnival breakers are active as breaking players for the Japan National Team and together they have won several competitions including the “Battle Pro World Final” in 2021. Several members of the crew have made it into the Paris Olympics 2024 qualifier list including Bboy Issin, Bboy Toa, and Bgirl Ayumi.

Bgirl Narumi Facts

Bgirl Narumi, associated with Body Carnival, stumbled upon the world of breaking during her school days when she decided to attend some classes. Her mentors turned out to be the talented Ichigeki crew from Japan, who not only taught her but also became her sources of inspiration. She has taken part in global breakdance competitions on behalf of Japan, and her skills have secured her numerous championship victories. Bgirl Narumi also contributes to education. 2. Bboy Haruto

Bboy Haruto Facts

Bboy Haruto hails from Ishikawa, Japan. He started breaking in the second grade of elementary school due to his sister who used to lock dance. He participated in dance battles around his hometown Ishikawa and met Bboy Kazuki Rock who served as his mentor. Since then he has won multiple competitions in under-15 category. He has been into Body Carnival crew since 2018 and currently a world representative of Japan. He also made it into the qualifier list of Paris Olympics 2024 with 190 points on 196th spot.

3. Bboy Kazuki Rock

Bboy Kazuki Rock Facts

Bboy Kazuki Rock hails from Hiroshima, Japan. He started breaking at the age of 15 in 2003 and moved to Kyoto in 2009 for Body Carnival activities. He is armed with highly original legwork and has won several competitions including “Break Free” in 2013 in USA.

4. Bboy Sota Sky

Bboy Sota Sky Facts

Bboy Sota Sky started breaking at the age of 15 in 2010. He has won numerous competitions including the prestigious UK B-Boy Championships Japan. He is known for his acrobatic original moves and currently pursuing the studies for dance in Break Free Hip-Hop School on the scholarship from the Ministry of Education, Culture, Sports, Science, and Technology of Japan (MEXT). He has also made it into the qualifier list of Paris Olympics 2024 with 50 points on 369th spot.

5. Bgirl Ayumi

Bgirl Ayumi Facts

Bgirl Ayumi’s journey in breaking commenced when she was 21, influenced by her sister B-Girl Narumi. In addition to breaking, she also possesses experience in Hip-Hop dance. B-Boy Katsu and B-Boy Quick played a pivotal role in guiding her through the intricacies of the chair move. She took on the role of a dance coach at the Youth Olympics in 2018 and extends her teaching skills to kindergarten students, helping them learn English. Her training sessions typically span no more than 3 hours each day. She currently holds the 7th position on the 2024 Paris Olympic Qualifier list, amassing an impressive 2000 points. 6. Bboy Assassin

Bboy Assassin Facts

Bboy Assassin hails from Tokyo, Japan and started breaking at the age of 16. He creates number of techniques with his mental strength and inquisitive mind that can’t be imitate. He uses number of body manipulations with high flexibility. He has received praises not only Japan but from all over the world. He also appeared in Cirque du Soleil event. He acts as an advisor and consultation partner in Body Carnival Crew.

7. Bboy Ryuji

Bboy Ryuji Facts

Bboy Ryuji of Body Carnival crew embarked on his journey in breaking at the age of 15. His distinctive style revolves around power moves, which he has mastered to a remarkable degree. A noteworthy feat sets him apart: he holds the distinction of being the sole individual in Japan capable of executing over 10 spins of the 1990 move. His original moves transcend the boundaries of what seems humanly possible, earning him a reputation as a top-tier power mover.

8. Bboy Jun1

Bboy Jun1 Facts

Bboy Jun1 is from Okinawa, Japan. He moved from Nagoya to Kyoto and joined Body Carnival Crew in 2016. He is exclusively good at dynamic spinning techniques and he takes advantage of his small physique to create speedy techniques that are different from Japanese style. He is known as the mood maker of the crew.

Bboy Deco Facts

Bboy Deco of Body Carnival Crew hails from Kyoto, Japan. He is known for his dynamic strength techniques and high quality freezes and acrobatics. He’s been to USA for education and had been active in dance activities. He is currently supporting his family business of Butcher shop and also is active in music and crew activities. He has appeared in several TV commercials and as a model and dancer.

Bboy Jacky Facts

Bboy Jacky of Body Carnival Crew hails from Kyoto, Japan. He is known for using original and unique flavor as a weapon. He has been evaluated as a one of a kind maniac style in Japan and all over the world. He has been teaching twice a month to children of Sono Wakei Gakuen which is a Kyoto child protection facility since 2011.

11. Bboy Toa

BBoy Toa’s venture into the world of breaking began when he was 13, under the guidance of B-Boy Katsu. Upon reaching the age of 18, he solidified his position as a member of the Body Carnival crew and aimed to shine on the international stage, representing his hometown Kyoto. His achievements earned him a selection as an official athlete for the Japanese Olympic team. With his sights set on the Paris Olympics 2024, he’s been diligently preparing for the grand event. 12. Bboy Issin

Bboy Issin Facts

Bboy Issin of Body Carnival crew is a student at Korakukan High School. Before he got into breaking, he used to play soccer. He started breaking when he was 8 years old amazed by the cool moves he saw when he visited a dance school with his dad. It only took him two weeks to learn the Windmill move. Now, he practices for about three to four hours almost every day as a member of the Japan Dance Sport Federation’s national team. He’s actually ranked 21st on the list of people who might get to go to the Paris Olympics 2024 for breaking, with a good score of 1060 points. Read more about Bboy Issin

13. Bboy Yosshshark

Bboy Yosshshark Facts

Bboy Yosshshark is from Kyoto Prefecture and currently lives there. He is an original member of the crew Body Carnival from the very beginning. He has been supporting the crew for 10 years with his unconditional love and determination. He is like a fatherly figure within the team, motivating everyone with his dedication to hard work and his attitude towards dance. His numerous spinning moves are unique power moves that are recognized worldwide. His hobby is body transformation. Currently, he is a father of one child and manages to balance work and family life while occasionally showing up for team practices.
