Bboy Taisuke Biography, Life Story, Breaking Journey, and Facts
Bboy Taisuke was born in Sasebo city, Japan. Presently residing in Kawasaki, he is an esteemed member of The Floorriorz crew and the renowned Red Bull BC One All Stars.
At a remarkably young age of seven, Taisuke delved into the world of breaking in 1998. Prior to that, he had already been dancing for a year, but it was the sight of a friend performing windmills that sparked his interest in breaking. Intrigued and inspired by the power move, he decided to take up breaking as well, and his dedication to the dance form has remained unwavering ever since.
Bboy Taisuke shares a special bond with his cousin, Bboy Toshiki, who is also a prominent Japanese Bboy and a fellow participant in the Japanese qualifier. Beyond their breaking accomplishments, Taisuke and Toshiki have many personal connections. They were born on the same day, grew up together in their hometown, and, notably, both discovered their passion for breaking through their sisters, who were B-Girls and members of the same crew. Their sisters served as significant sources of inspiration for them, motivating the two cousins to start breaking at a young age of eight.
Bboy Taisuke is known for his quiet, shy, and humble demeanor. He dedicated much of his time to dancing and was grateful for the opportunity to study at the International Dance College (I.D.C) in Takadanobaba, where he had been awarded a scholarship. His educational journey includes general classes two days a week, while the rest of his weekdays were filled with dance classes from Monday to Saturday.
In his hometown of Nagasaki, his father taught him the art of fishing and crafting sashimi from the fresh seafood found in the surrounding ocean. This hands-on experience with traditional fishing and food preparation became a cherished aspect of his life, and he immensely enjoyed it. However, since relocating to Tokyo, where access to the same level of freshness is limited, Taisuke has made a decision to abstain from eating fish altogether.
Bboy Taisuke is an avid golf player. He created his own event ‘The Jam’. He is the only Japanese breaker who represented Japan more times than any other Japanese breaker at the Red Bull BC One World Final.
Moves
Among his signature moves, Bboy Taisuke is renowned for “Def Air,” a move akin to a flare, but he takes it further by using his hands to propel his body into a horizontal 180-degree spin, seamlessly transitioning into multiple spins in quick succession. Another one of his crowd-pleasing moves involves a backflip into a one-handed airbaby freeze, executed with a level of ease that appears almost supernatural.
