Bgirl Sanam is of Indian descendant and hails from Pforzheim, Germany. Her parents immigrated to Germany when she was a young child. Her father hails from the Punjab province and was sent to Germany at the age of 16 to care for his family in India. Bgirl Sanam has always been a sporty individual, and her passion for physical activities led her to discover the art of ‘Breaking’ in a dance school towards the end of 2016. Starting at the age of 14, she began training once or twice a week, making gradual progress in her skills.

At 18 years old, Bgirl Sanam faced a significant setback when she suffered a severe knee injury during a physical education class, forcing her to take an 8-month break. The cruciate ligament rupture served as a wake-up call, prompting her to delve deeper into her Christian faith and recognize her unique gift, which she aspired to fully embrace. Instead of pursuing traditional academic studies after high school, she made the courageous decision to dedicate herself to dance, with the unwavering support of her parents.

Her commitment to training intensified, with up to 6 hours of daily practice, primarily focusing on ‘Breaking.’ Bgirl Sanam’s dedication paid off as she rapidly improved her skills, especially in ‘Powermoves,’ with guidance from Fabio and encouragement from Flex Holik, among others. B-Boy Lil Amok played a pivotal role in supporting her journey in 2022, facilitating new connections and providing valuable insights.

Despite her efforts, Bgirl Sanam was unable to persuade her younger siblings to take up dancing, but she remains resolute in her belief that ‘Breaking’ is her true calling and future. With determination, support, and inspiration from mentors and peers alike, Sanam is set on pursuing her passion to the fullest and continuing her growth as a b-girl.
